Hearts and Hands is a perfect venue for family retreats and gatherings (and for small weddings of up to 20 guests), originally being built as a family homestead. The size of the house provides privacy and enough space for a large family group, and the common rooms welcome members to come together to prepare meals in the country kitchen, sing around the antique rosewood piano in the library, or gather together before the warm fireplace in the comfortable living room.
It is a home that celebrates family joy and love as well as a home that has been healing to family wounds. Hearts and Hands is a home which brings your family and friends together in a warm, welcoming and magical environment to enjoy each other's company and create lasting memories.
Hearts and Hands is a wonderful venue for the family and friends of those getting married at larger local weddings on our beautiful Mendocino coast. There are several excellent locations for the wedding event itself...the Ledford House Restaurant is a mile and a half from the center, overlooking the ocean in Albion, and is famous for their wedding celebrations. And Hearts and Hands is a beautiful and personal environment for family, friends, and the happy couple to share time together and enjoy each other's company in the intimacy and warmth of our family homestead.
Healthy and nutritious meals can be arranged for your groups with local caterers, and massage therapy can be scheduled for guests in our new healing studio where we offer many modalities of energy and body work.
There are a number of spectacular beaches and excellent hiking trails a short distance by car from the center, as well as gentle and shorter walks on the property. The historic coastal village of Mendocino is 12 minutes away and a wonderful place to explore with great shops of all kinds, and several fine restaurants. There are also two excellent restaurants right in Albion, minutes from the house, along with a well-stocked grocery store providing organic produce, fresh fish, international foods, and an abundant deli.
