Healing and Creative Retreats
Many healing and creative retreats have graced our center throughout the years. We have been the destination for yoga retreats along with Authentic Movement, Feldenkris, Reiki trainings, Qi Gung and Tai Chi retreats, watercolor classes, quilting retreats, singing and drumming retreats, an annual women's spiritual gathering, soul retrieval and shamanic workshops, medical intuitive trainings, flower essence trainings, massage therapy trainings, polarity therapy, and retreats on death and dying, to name a few.

Healthy and nutritious meals can be arranged for your groups with local caterers, and massage therapy can be scheduled for teachers and students in our new healing studio where we offer many modalities of energy and body work.

There are a number of spectacular beaches and excellent hiking trails a short distance by car from the center. The historic coastal village of Mendocino is 12 minutes away and a wonderful place to explore with great shops of all kinds, and several fine restaurants. There are also two excellent restaurants right in Albion, minutes from the center, along with a well-stocked grocery store providing organic produce, fresh fish, international foods, and an abundant deli.

"The nurturing and loving energy at Hearts and Hands combined with the beautiful Victorian home, abundant gardens and incredible workshop space creates a healing and sacred world that supports the deep and empowering work we do at our annual women's gathering... We will be coming back to Hearts and Hands for our seventh year of celebration." - Nympha Cole, C.A., C.M.T., Organizer and leader, "Gathering of Women Clan"

"Whenever I teach there are two things I want to create for my students...a separation from their world of commitments and responsibilities, and a sense of safe containment, a womb-like vessel in which they can trust, drop into and experience a deep 'letting go.' Hearts and Hands does all this for me and my students. One experiences...Home...Safety...and a trust of one's own journey. Students blossom within the environment of Hearts and Hands. It makes teaching there a real treat." - Tracey Coddington, yoga teacher

"From the country quilts to the hot tub under the stars Hearts and Hands is a delight through and through. My students and I love to return to this intimate, artful, well taken care of nourishing haven. The renovated barn is a great place to practice yoga...it is well heated and lightfilled with views out to the enchanted gardens and statuary." - Anja Borgstrom, Yoga Teacher

"a true healing...a place of wholeness...round and circular like the apples and trees...warmth and sweetness...thank you for sharing this." - jennifer
